 NTSB Launches Go-Team to Metro North Accident in Westchester County, N.Y.

​WASHINGTON—The National Transportation Safety Board is sending a go-team to investigate today’s accident involving a Metro North commuter train and a passenger vehicle.

Rail investigator Michael Hiller is leading the team as investigator-in-charge. NTSB Board Member Robert L. Sumwalt is accompanying the team and will serve as the principal spokesman during the on-scene phase of the investigation.

There will be a short press availability with Member Sumwalt at Reagan National Airport, Hangar 6, at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday before the team leaves.
