Positive Train Control Implementation Live Discussion

It has been more than 50 years since NTSB first called for the implementation of positive train control (PTC) technology. The final PTC deadline occured on December 31, 2020.

On January 14, 2021, Member Jennifer Homendy hosted a virtual discussion with current NTSB Chairman and former NTSB Chairmen and staff to look back on the history of PTC, explore the future of rail safety, and celebrate the progress and the benefits of this lifesaving technology.
