​On June 6, 2025, at 0536 local time (eastern daylight time), US Coast Guard Sector Miami received a report from local emergency services dispatch of a multiple-vessel fire at Sunny Isles Marina in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. The Coast Guard, multiple Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units, and Florida Fish and Wildlife responded, and all fires were extinguished by 0800. Nine vessels (personal watercrafts and yachts) were damaged in the fire. There were no injuries, and no pollution was reported. Damages were estimated at $2.6 million. 

​​Our initial investigation did not identify significant transportation safety issues. We determined that additional investigation and use of resources are not warranted at this time. We have produced an investigation close-out memorandum, which can be found in our docket.
