On August 12, 2022, about 1015 central daylight time, the Coast Guard was notified that the 136-foot-long towing vessel Crosby Enterprise had caught fire while in drydock. The local fire department responded and extinguished the fire 15 hours later. There were no injuries or pollution reported.
Our initial investigation did not identify significant transportation safety issues. We determined that additional investigation and use of resources are not warranted at this time. We have produced an investigation close-out memorandum, which can be found in our docket.
