Welcome to the New NTSB.gov

This is the first major redesign in 10 years, and it reflects the collected feedback of our website users and staff. We’ve refreshed the site with a clean and contemporary design, reorganized content to be easy to find, and presented content in plain language for maximum usability.

Here’s what to expect.

What’s New

When visiting ntsb.gov, you’ll see:

  • A modern look and feel making it easier to find and use content. Plus, more graphics and images to enhance visual storytelling.
  • Accessible information available whenever and wherever you need it as the site will adapt to your mobile device. Accessibility was a priority from day one as we focused on eliminating barriers to the use of the site.
  • Reorganized, intuitive content to improve how you accomplish your top tasks. We looked at our analytics data and visitor feedback to understand how people use the site and what they look for. You’ll find new main navigation topics such as Data and Safety Research and quick links to top actions such as searching for investigations or safety recommendations.
  • A holistic approach to providing comprehensive investigations information in one place. You’ll find investigation detail pages for all our investigations, both ongoing and historical. These pages are the "one stop shop" for all information about the investigation, bringing together content that was previously found across the site. We’re also presenting investigation results in clear plain language using straightforward headers – What Happened, What We Found, and What We Recommended. This will give a clear summary of our findings, with the full technical analysis available in the investigation report.

Commitment to a Better Web Experience

This redesign is our first step improving your web experience at ntsb.gov. Our goal is to keep enhancing the site iteratively. To do that, we thank web visitors like you for providing constructive feedback so we can see what’s working and what needs improving. If you have questions or comments, please send your feedback to webmaster@ntsb.gov.
