Crash of Pilatus PC-12

Investigation Details

What Happened

​On Nov. 30, 2019, a Pilatus PC-12 (N56KJ) operated as a Part 91 flight crashed shortly after takeoff from Chamberlain Municipal Airport in Chamberlain, South Dakota. The airplane was on an instrument flight rules plan direct to Idaho Falls, Idaho. Including the pilot, there were 12 people on board. Nine occupants were fatally injured and three suffered serious injuries. The airplane was substantially damaged.
