NTSB Acting Chairman to deliver keynote address on impaired driving at Johns Hopkins University

September 13

National Transportation Safety Board Acting Chairman Deborah A.P. Hersman will speak at Johns Hopkins University next week about the challenges of changing a culture that has become complacent about alcohol-impaired driving.

Hersman will deliver the keynote address at the 16th Annual Daniel J. Raskin Memorial Symposium on Injury Prevention at the JHU Bloomberg School of Public Health. The event will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, September 16.

Since May 2012, the NTSB has issued several major reports and 19 safety recommendations on eliminating impaired driving, which has been on the NTSB's Most Wanted List since 1990.

A live webcast of the event will be available at www.jhsph.edu/events/2013/09162013-raskin.html
