NTSB investigators either traveled in support of this investigation or conducted a significant amount of investigative work without any travel, and used data obtained from various sources to prepare this aircraft accident report.PILOT FERRYING AIRCRAFT TO NEW OWNER AND LOST POWER. A HARD FORCED LANDING WAS MADE IN A PASTURE. AIRCRAFT CONTACTED GROUND AT A 30 DEGREE ANGLE WHICH FAILED LANDING GEAR. PILOT HAD ZERO TIME IN THE AIRCRAFT PRIOR TO THIS FLIGHT. OWNER OF AIRCRAFT HAD POWER FAILURE SAME MORNING DUE TO CARB ICE.
