On June 26, 2002, at approximately 12:54 local time, an All Nippon Airways Boeing 767-200, JA8254, during a training flight experienced a tail strike on runway 35 at Shimozishima Airport, Japan. During a one engine touch and go the aircraft touched down in a nose high attitude, resulting in a tail strike. The aircraft ran off the right side of the runway and continued for 1000 meters before coming to rest. There were no injuries.
