AFTER LIFT-OFF IT STILL PERFORMED UNDER PAR. WE CLEARED THE HILLS AND TREES. ON THE DOWNSIDE OF THE HILL WE HIT A DOWNDRAFT. WE HIT THE TREES NOSE HIGH; CLIMB POWER.' THE REPORTED WIND WAS CALM. THE TEMPERATURE WAS 84 DEG. ACCORDING TO THE PLT, HE WAS MAINTAINING THE BEST ANGLE OF CLIMB SPEED. THE WATER CONDITION ON THE LAKE WAS REPORTED AS CALM.
