DURING THE TAKEOFF ROLL ON A GRAVEL BAR, THE PILOT LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL OF THE AIRPLANE. THE AIRPLANE SWERVED TO THE RIGHT AND SLID OVER A 100 FOOT DROP, TAIL FIRST.
