NTSB to Provide an Investigative Update for WMATA Train Derailment

​​​​WASHINGTON (Oct. 17, 2021) — The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a media briefing on Monday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. to provide an update on its investigation of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Metrorail train derailment.

On Oct. 12, at approximately 4:50 p.m., outbound WMATA Metrorail Train 407 derailed between the Rosslyn and Arlington Cemetery stations in Arlington, Virginia.
