On May 18, 2019, about 1417 local time, a Piper PA-32-260 airplane, N260TM, impacted water after takeoff from the Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport (MHRO), Roatán, Honduras. The pilot, a citizen of Canada, and the four passengers, citizens of the U.S., all sustained fatal injuries. The airplane sustained substantial damage. The airplane was equipped with a Lycoming O-540 series engine.
