The Board has conducted NTSB Investigator Training Courses for many years. Currently the course is held every six months. It has been our practice to allow/invite foreign government investigators to participate. This opportunity has been well received by our colleagues outside the U.S. because there are few alternatives.

The Safety Board is now undertaking an expansion of training efforts to develop an NTSB Training Academy. Course development and selection of an Academy facility are now underway. This training initiative will provide the Board with even greater opportunities to interact with the international investigative community in the future.

Regarding On-site Training Courses, the Board also responds to requests for on-site training of groups of investigators from several governments as indicated. We have been to Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia and China. And we will present some advanced training in Taiwan and Singapore again this month.
