NTSB TO ASSIST IN INVESTIGATION OF AIR FRANCE ACCIDENT IN TORONTO
The National Transportation Safety Board has sent a team of specialists to assist in the investigation of the accident on landing yesterday of an Air France Airbus 340 airplane at Toronto's Pearson Airport.
The team is led by Robert Benzon, a senior NTSB investigator, who has been named the U.S. Accredited Representative in accordance with the procedures of the International Civil Aviation Organization. Mr. Benzon is joined by NTSB specialists in aircraft engines and survival factors, plus an investigator from the Federal Aviation Administration.
All information on the progress of the investigation will be released by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
