NTSB TO HOLD MEDIA BRIEFING ON FAIRFIELD, CONNECTICUT I-95 CRASH
The chief investigator of the National Transportation Safety Boards team investigating the January 17 crash on Interstate 95 in Fairfield, Connecticut, will brief the news media on Friday to describe the teams activities this week.
The accident occurred about 5:00 a.m. when a tractor-trailer overran a concrete median barrier on I-95 near exit 24, apparently causing a crash in the opposing lanes. Several minutes later, an SUV collided with the rear of the trailer. Four persons in the SUV died as a result of their injuries.
