NTSB PROVIDES DRAFT EGYPTAIR REPORT TO EGYPTIAN GOVERNMENT

In the ongoing investigation into the crash of EgyptAir flight 990, the National Transportation Safety Board has provided a draft final report to the Egyptian Government for review.

Under provisions established by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Egyptian Government has 60 days to submit comments to the NTSB. A schedule for when the draft report will be presented to the Board Members, after consideration of Egyptian Government comments, has not yet been determined.

The final report will contain conclusions, a probable cause, and possibly safety recommendations that were developed during the investigation.

EgyptAir flight 990, a Boeing 767-300ER, crashed off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts, on October 31, 1999. All 217 people on board were killed.
