NTSB REPORT ON COAST GUARD RESPONSE TO MAYDAY CALL FOLLOWING SINKING OF SAILING VESSEL TO BE DISCUSSED OCTOBER 5, 1999


The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a public meeting Tuesday, October 5, to review its report on the Coast Guard response to the December 29, 1997 sinking of the recreational sailing vessel Morning Dew. Coast Guard response to distress calls from several other vessels will also be discussed.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 am and will be held in the 5th floor Board Room of the NTSB Headquarters building 490 L’Enfant Plaza, S.W., Washington DC.

The Board Room is lit for television and a mult-box is available for sound.

Please note that due to construction outside of 490 L’Enfant Plaza it will be necessary to enter thought the 470 L’Enfant Plaza entrance and take the elevator to the 5th floor for access to the Board Room.
