The National Transportation Safety Board holds a public Board meeting Tuesday, September 21, at 9:30 a.m., at its headquarters building, 490 L’Enfant Plaza, S.W., Washington, D.C., 5th floor meeting room.

There are two items on the agenda:

The report will evaluate federal vehicle safety standards that govern the design of school buses and motor coaches to determine whether they are effective in preventing injuries and whether further occupant protection measures are needed. The issue of seat belts on school buses will be discussed. Press Officer: Terry Williams
