The National Transportation Safety Board will meet to consider its safety study on "Characteristics of Single-Unit Truck Accidents Resulting in Injuries and Deaths" on June 4, 2013.
The study focuses on vehicle safety issues that federal regulators can more readily address. In this safety study, the NTSB sought to examine the safety experience of single unit trucks; to examine the consequences, if any, of exempting these vehicles from large truck vehicle safety regulations; and to identify countermeasures for discovered safety issues.
NTSB public events are also streamed live via webcast. Webcasts are archived for a period of three months from the time of the meeting. Webcast archives are generally available by the end of the event day for public Meetings, and by the end of the next day for Technical conferences.
