Member Rosekind Speaks at the United Motorcoach Association Safety Management Seminar 

On December 2, 2010, Board Member Mark Rosekind spoke at the United Motorcoach Association Safety Management Seminar held at the NTSB’s Training Center in Ashburn, VA.  His presentation provided an introduction to the NTSB mission and activities and highlighted the Board’s Most Wanted motorcoach safety recommendations and recent investigations specifically focusing on: (1) driver fatigue issues, (2) crashworthiness and occupant protection, and (3) crash avoidance technologies. Dr. Rafael Marshall, from the NTSB’s Office of Highway Safety, provided information and materials regarding key areas that were addressed and also attended the presentation. Based on the group’s interest, Member Rosekind will be speaking in January 2011 at the International Motor Coach Group, Inc. in Tampa Bay, FL.

Bio

Rosekind was sworn in as a Board Member on June 30, 2010. His term expires December 31, 2014.
