Judge Patrick G. Geraghty

Judge Geraghty graduated from Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, (BS, 1957) and the American University School of Law, Washington, D.C. (J.D., 1964). He is admitted to the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of Colorado, and he is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and various Federal and state courts.

Judge Geraghty was appointed as an Administrative Law Judge of the National Transportation Safety Board in January 1975. Before his appointment to the NTSB, he served as an Administrative Law Judge of the United States Department of Labor. From 1968 to 1974, he was a branch chief in the Office of General Counsel of the Federal Aviation Administration. He was engaged in the private practice of law from 1966 to 1967.

Judge Geraghty is the holder of an airline transport pilot certificate and a certified flight instructor certificate. He served as a naval aviator in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1963.
