NTSB IS INVESTIGATING A COLLISION BETWEEN TWO FRIEGHT TRAINS THAT PARTIALLY COLLAPSED A HIGHWAY OVERPASS

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the collision and derailment of two freight trains near Scott City, MO that occurred at approximately 2:30 am local time, on May 25, 2013

Senior Rail Investigator Mike Flanigon is the investigator-in-charge. NTSB Board Member Robert L. Sumwalt accompanied the team and served as the principal spokesperson during the on-scene phase of the investigation.
