On March 27, 2009, at 1030 universal coordinated time, a Cirrus SR-22, N221LD, was substantially damaged during landing at the Lugo Di Romagna (LIDG), Lugo Di Romagna, Italy. According to Italian authorities, during landing the airplane encountered a crosswind and impacted the ground off the left side of the runway.
