On January 18, 2006, at about 1900 local time, an MD-82 operated by Lion Air, as flight JT787, Indonesian registration PK-LMJ, departed the left side of runway 31 upon landing at Hassanudin airport, Makassar, Indonesia. Weather was reported as raining with crosswind. The right thrust reverser was disabled for maintenance. The airplane had minor damage and there were no injuries.
