DCA05WA039DCA05WA039On February 22, 2005, an Indonesian National Police CASA 212, registration P-2032, crashed into the sea while on approach to Mararena airport in Sarimi, Papua, Indonesia. According to news reports, 4 crew and 15 passengers were fatally injured and 3 passengers received serious injuries. News reports also indicate that one of the airplane's engines had failed prior to the accident. The airplane was equipped with Rolls Royce (Allison) engines. It is reported that the National Police of Indonesia are investigating the accident.
