On August 30, 2004, a Aviation Centre SA226-T Metro 3, VH-SSL, entered a spin during cruise while the pilot was adjusting the heater. The pilot subsequently recovered. No injuries were reported to the pilot or seven passengers. This incident is being investigated by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.
