On September 19, 2004, at 1957 UTC, a Robinson R44, G-SPAL, was destroyed when it collided with terrain while on approach to a private landing site in Kentallen, Appin Scotland. The pilot sustained serious injuries and the passenger received fatal injuries. The helicopter departed Perth Airfield, Perth Scotland.
