On May 10, 1997, about 1915 central daylight time, a Ayers S2R, N3090K, registered to Salyer Farms Airport, crashed into the Pabon mountain located in the western province of Chiriqui, Panama. Instrument meteorological conditions were reported by the local authorities at the time of the accident, and it is unknown if a flight plan was filed. The airplane was destroyed by a postcrash fire. The commercial pilot was reported to have been fatally injured. The flight was reported to have originated from Tomas Guardia International Airport, Liberia, Costa Rica, at an undetermined time.
