On November 11, 1996, about 0952 Greenwich Means Time, the aircraft was on approach to Bourdeaux, France when the pilot reported an engine failure, followed by the aircraft colliding with the ground. The aircraft was on a IFR flight and instrument meteorological conditions existed. The pilot and 7 passengers were fatally injured. The aircraft was destroyed. The accident investigation is under the jurisdication of the French Government.
