On February 18, 1995, at 1342 central standard time, a Schweizer 269B, N11XC, rolled over during a normal touchdown on runway 22 at Addison Municipal Airport in Addison, Alabama. The personal flight operated under the provisions of 14 CFR Part 91 with no flight plan filed. Visual weather conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. According to the pilot, he was on an approach for a normal landing. When he applied collective to arrest the descent, there was no power response. As he approached the ground, the pilot realized that he had inadvertently rolled the throttle off. The helicopter touched down hard on the right skid and broke the landing gear. There were no mechanical problems with the helicopter.
