On September 23, 1994, at 2102 greenwich mean time (GMT), N9082N, a Rockwell Commander 500S, operated by Eagle Air International, crashed 100 meters off the East Coast of the Island Heimaey of the Westman Isles, Iceland. The pilot is missing and presumed to be fatally injured, and the passenger received fatal injuries. The airplane was destroyed. According to the Civil Aviation Administration in Reykjavik, Iceland, the airplane struck in an inverted position, and was located in the ocean at a depth of 6 meters.
