On June 16, 2010, at approximately 2:30 pm local time, an Embraer EMB145 airplane, N847HK, equipped with Rolls Royce AE3007A engines and operated by Trans States Airlines as flight 8050 (dba United Express), overran runway 07 at Ottawa International Airport, Ottawa, Canada during landing. The airplane originated from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). Multiple injuries were reported of the 33 passengers and 3 crewmembers on board the flight.
The investigation is being conducted by the Transportation Safety Board (TSB) of Canada. The NTSB has designated a U.S. Accredited Representative as the State of the Operator, the engines, and various subsystems on the EMB145.
