NTSB investigators either traveled in support of this investigation or conducted a significant amount of investigative work without any travel, and used data obtained from various sources to prepare this aircraft accident report.THE AIRCRAFT LOST POWER DURING TAKEOFF AND THE PILOT MADE A HARD LANDING IN A PLOWED FIELD. THE MAGNETO CAM, P/N 10-349359-9, HAD SEPARATED THE SHAFT. BENDIX SERVICE BULLETIN #608 RECOMMENDING A CAM RETAINING SCREW HAD NOT BEEN ACCOMPLISHED.
