On April 5, 2001, at about 0815 Atlantic standard time, a Beech 200, YV-O-SATA-6, operated by Sistema Autonomo de Transportes y Servicios, crashed while en route from Caracas to Barinas, Venezuela. The flight experienced a loss of power on both its engines and crashed landed in an open field. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time. The pilot sustained minor injuries the first officer and six passengers were not injured. The aircraft received substantial damage during the forced landing. The flight originated from La Carlota, at 0711 that morning.
