NTSB investigators either traveled in support of this investigation or conducted a significant amount of investigative work without any travel, and used data obtained from various sources to prepare this aircraft accident report.THE AIRCRAFT COLLIDED WITH SOME HIDDEN OBSTRUCTIONS DURING AN ABORTED TAKEOFF. TH PILOT REALIZED HIS HEAVILY LOADED AIRCRAFT WAS NOT ACCELERATING FAST ENOUGH AND ABORTED THE TAKEOFF. AFTER TURNING LEFT TO AVOID SOME METAL DRUMS, THE AIRCRAFT COLLIDED WITH A BOAT DOCK CONCEALED BY SNOW. THE TAKEOFF WAS BEING MADE ON A SNOW-COVERED FROZEN LAKE USING SKIS. AFTER THE COLLISION, THE AIRCRAFT ROTATED 180 DEGREES AND SLID TO A STOP.
