NTSB investigators may not have traveled in support of this investigation and used data provided by various sources to prepare this aircraft accident report.ACCORDING TO THE PLT, THE ACFT CONTACTED A TWR WITH THE NOSE GEAR WHILE HE WAS MAKING A VISUAL SURVEILLANCE OF A PRIVATE AIRSTRIP PRIOR TO LANDING. THE PLT SAID HE DIVERTED TO A NEARBY ARPT TO LAND. DURING LANDING, FUEL FROM BROKEN FUEL LINES IGNITED & THE ACFT WAS DESTROYED BY FIRE.
