NTSB investigators either traveled in support of this investigation or conducted a significant amount of investigative work without any travel, and used data obtained from various sources to prepare this aircraft accident report.THE PILOT, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CLOSE THE ENTRY DOOR DURING THE TAKEOFF ROLL, LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND RAN OFF THE DEPARTURE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE DOOR EXAMINATION FAILED TO DISCLOSE ANY MECHANICAL PROBLEM. THE PILOT WAS ATTEMPTING AN INTERSECTION DEPARTURE FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSPORTING AN AIR AMBULANCE PATIENT.
