DURING TAKEOFF ON A GRAVEL BAR AIRSTRIP, THE AIRPLANE STRUCK A LARGE ROCK ON THE DEPARTURE END OF THE AIRSTRIP. THE AIRPLANE WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED. THE PILOT AND PASSENGER WERE NOT INJURED.
