DURING THE SECOND TAKEOFF RUN, THE LAKE AMPHIBIAN STRUCK AND UNSEEN OBJECT, TEARING A HOLE IN THE HULL. THE AIRCRAFT SANK A FEW MINNUTES AFTER THE OCCUPANTS ESCAPED.
