THE STUDENT PILOT SAID THAT HE HAD JUST TOUCHDOWN DOWN, WHEN ANOTHER AIRCRAFT LANDED ON TOP OF HIS AIRCRAFT. THE TWO AIRCRAFT LOCKED TOGETHER AND CAME TO A STOP ABOUT 600 FEET DOWN THE RUNWAY ON CENTERLINE. THE UNINJURED PILOT EXITED THROUGH THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT AS HE WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR.
The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident to be: A POORLY PLANNED APPROACH AND INADEQUATE VISUAL LOOKOUT BY THE PILOT OF THE OTHER AIRCRAFT.
