On January 9, 1995 about 09:23 Greenwich mean time, a Cessna 501, N555HR, registered to Hans Roeder & Partner GMB Company sustained substantial damage during landing at Stuttgurt Airport, Stuttgurt, Germany. The pilot was not injured. The business flight was being operated by DBM Holding GMBH, of Berlin, Germany. The flight departed Hamburg, Germany and was destined for Stuttgurt, Germany. Instrument meteorological conditions prevailed and an instrument flight rules flight plan was filed for the flight.

The pilot of the accident airplane submitted a 6120.1/2, National Transportation Safety Board Pilot/Operator Aircraft Accident Report form to the Board. He stated, "After normal flight and approach the left landing gear broke at landing/touchdown. I was controlling the plane on (the) ground with the pedals to hold it on the center line of the runway until it came to a full stop. After (it) stopped I switched off instruments and engines in normal order. (Checklist). While I was sliding I called tower to tell them that the left gear broke and I can't leave the runway."

The pilot reported in the 6120.1/2 the eye bolt from the left gear actuator broke, which collapsed the left gear.
