On December 21, 1994, at 0952 UTC (and Local) a Boeing B737-2D6C, registered in Algeria as 7TVEE, and operated by Air Algerie, crashed into a wooded area near Coventry, England. Prior to impacting the ground, the airplane struck a high tension power line array and a house. The airplane was outfitted as a cattle carrier. The two pilots, the flight engineer, and two cattle handlers onboard the airplane were killed. There were no ground injuries. The flight was an empty cargo ferry flight between East Midlands Airport, England, to Coventry. The airplane was on an IFR flight plan and was executing an airport surveillance radar approach when it struck the power line array.
