NTSB SENDING TEAM TO INVESTIGATE BUS CRASH IN TEXAS


The National Transportation Safety Board is sending a team of investigators to Sherman, Texas today to investigate a charter bus crash that occurred early this morning.

At 12:45 am CDT, a charter bus carrying 55 passengers ran off US Highway 75 and landed on its side. There are reports of multiple fatalities and injuries.

NTSB Highway Investigator Robert Accetta will serve as Investigator-in-Charge and lead the 6-member team, including a member from the Office of Transportation Disaster Assistance. Mr. Accetta has already arrived on-scene and the rest of the team is expected to arrive some time later today.
