NTSB Opens Public Docket On Executive Airlines Accident Investigation


Washington, D.C. - On Friday May 18, 2001 at 10:00 a.m., the National Transportation Safety Board will open its public docket containing factual information gathered in the investigation of the May 21, 2000 crash of an Executive Airlines Jetstream in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. All 19 persons aboard the aircraft died.

The information contained in the public docket will be factual in nature and does not provide any analysis or determination of cause. Additional information will be added to the public docket as it becomes available.

A limited number of copies of the docket information, on CD-ROM, will be available in the NTSB Public Affairs office at 490 L'Enfant Plaza, 6th floor, starting Friday at 10:00 a.m. Additional copies can be obtained through the Public Inquiries branch at (202) 314-6551.
